The shooting happened at 4 a.m. in the 300 block of south 37th Street as six people were sitting outside a home having some beers when an apparent stranger walking by pulled out a gun and started to shoot at the group. Two other people were wounded resulting in non-life threatening injuries. They were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
