Main job duty is development of digital signal processing algorithms for advanced acoustic instruments and array imaging instruments. Work includes analytical algorithm development, functional and error analysis, computer simulation, mixed hardware and computer emulation, and field test verification. This position requires strong digital signal processing education, good intuition and experience with derivation and manipulation of theories in the applied research area. The candidate should be familiar with Matlab programming and experienced with processing experimental data on computers. Experience in array signal processing and digital image processing is a plus. Ph.D. in engineering, applied physics, applied mathematics or related fields is required. The candidates must be highly focused, result-oriented and highly motivated.
